May Adeline Childs
Brennan Levi Childs
I also want to say that May is my great grandmother's name (and she is going to be a great great grandmother for the first time with our babies). Adeline is Scott's grandmother's name and although we did not know when we picked this name, she has liver cancer and probably will not be with us much longer. Brennan is Scott's middle name and we have been set on that name since before we were married. That was the easiest for us to decide. Levi is a name that we actually really liked for a first name, but we decided to use it for the middle name (as of now) because we thought things might get confusing with my name being Leah and our nephew being Lee. That's alot of similar names to have in one very close family. I will let you know our other names when we decide them. I would like for all of us to be able to refer to the babies by their names and even more importantly, to pray for them by their names.
As far as other news, we have been able to listen to both babies hearbeats with the doppler. It seems that I was listening to baby B. B is easier to find still and is higher up. Also, B's heartbeat is usually louder, although this morning A was really loud. They both have about the same rate of 150-160 (so maybe 2 girls?).
I am going to be looking for a good book about twin pregnancy. If anyone knows anyone who had twins and had a good book, let me know. I also am starting to really think about more things...the fact that I may not be able to work up until the babies are born (sometimes twin pregnancies require bedrest), the fact that these babies could be born early and our time will dwindle quickly for getting everything prepared. I feel like I need to have everything set up by 34 weeks just to make sure. I truly hope that the twins will wait to make their entrance until close to 36 weeks at the earliest, but I know that twin pregnancy can be very stressful on the body, so I want to be realistic. Also, I am kinda sad that I probably will need a c-section. Not many twins deliver vaginally these days, so my chances aren't great. And, you know I am super cautious because I have seen the bad things that can happen, so if one of them is breech I will not take the chance of delivering vaginally. But, I am trying to take things as they come for now. Reading up on some stuff can't hurt though.

Leah,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you posted this! How exciting! I also LOVE your names, and Levi is one of the names I liked too...You know we have similar tastes:) I do think you have at least one girl in there, which is awesome! I was just thinking that if you had 2 girls, the girl grandchildren would outnumber the boys...who would have ever thought that would happen? I will be praying for them both though, and we'll know for sure soon enough in March. You guys are probably used to surprises by now! And I know you'll make all the right decisions for them...you're such a good mommy already...hmm...I am going to be ordering another onesie, and can't wait to buy them stuff:) I am soooooooooooooooooooooo excited!
