Over the Moon

Well I have to say that after this past year, I shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore...but I was this weekend. I thought for sure after I ovulated on 4th of July that I was getting my period when I had some spotting 4 days later (boy, that would be a SHORT luteal phase!). However, it stopped the next day and my luteal phase continued. On Thursday (12 days past ovulation) I thought for sure I got a positive on a HPT but the line was extremely light. I took a digital on Saturday (14 days past ovulation) and wouldn't you know...it was a BIG FAT POSITIVE!! Of course Scott and I are Over the Moon....but scared as well. I was planning on calling the RE on Monday but surprisingly I got a call from the nurse at their office that morning. I told her the news and she ordered some bloodwork for HCG and progesterone levels. I got the results today and so far so good...HCG was 285 and Progesterone was 16.95. I did start progesterone suppositories last night just because the doctor thought with my history it would be a good precaution. Tomorrow I will be getting the bloodwork repeated and I pray that it will be good this time (last pregnancy the numbers didnt rise like they should).

Hopefully we are only 9 short (or long depending on your view) months away from ending this journey to fill our empty arms. God has blessed me with another pregnancy and I pray that he will let me keep this one. I know that the fact that I am pregnant is a miracle and we are praising Him for the works of His hands.
